Short Story Dreams # 1

Short Story Dreams Issue Number Uno

Introduction
The title for this is self explanatory for what is to come but I want to talk about the origins for me wanting to talk about a new topic to write about that really interests me, so without further ado, here I go. For a couple of years now I've been attempting to really get in touch with my imagination via dreams. I was browsing the net when I read that it might be possible to control your dreams or "lucid dream" as it is formally known. As soon as I discovered this fact I practically jizzed my pants at the idea of being able to fly with my own group of super hero dinosaurs. Although I am still not able to do that, I have come across awesome dreams that have made trying to lucid dream very worthwhile. This first entry, however, was the first dream that made me want to look deeper in the first place. So, without further ado, the first of hopefully many dreams to be posted is here. Enjoy!

The Beast
I stood nowhere. I was standing alone in darkness with no one around me. I started to hear footsteps surrounding me and I was now standing among a giant cluster of Roman soldiers. The soldiers were all geared head to toe with crimson, metal armor. I looked down at myself and I was wearing the same armor as all the other soldiers and had a spear in my hand. We were all inside a giant castle courtyard in the day and were facing the front main gate. I started to hear chants and shout. "DEFEND THE GATES!!", a soldier shouted to the top of his lungs. His voice kind of sounded like Russel Crowe, but that wasn't important right now. I had to figure out just what the hell was going on. There was more screaming and shouting along with the sound of blades clashing. After a while someone just shouted, "RETREAT!!" and I could see soldiers being thrown over the gates. The walls of this mighty fortress began to boom, shake and crumble before my eyes. Something was pounding and thrashing at the walls so intensely that I felt my bones shake with the castle. Something was coming, and when the walls finally gave way they left a giant dust cloud. For a moment, all you could hear was the sounds of pain. When the dust finally settled, do you know what I saw? It was freaking GIANT JESUS! He punched catapults and swarms of soldiers to bits, and I just froze there not being able to process just what I did to get there in that moment. He picked up a giant handful of soldiers and took a crunchy bite that left debris on his strangely well groomed beard. After that though, I just said ,"Fuck that", and cheesed it out of there without a second thought.
The scene changed and I was still running away from the battle. It was night nighttime and I arrived to a stone road lit by fancy lamp posts emitted a strange blue glow. After a moments rest though, I could hear the same horrible roar that came from Giant Jesus and the crashing steps he took as he came closer and closer to me. I had to think fast and hide wherever I could, so I did what any rational person would do, and I dug a half-assed hole right next to the fairly well lit road. As soon as I finished, I lied down and covered the hole and I with a white blanket. Time was of the essence, and there was apparently no need to check the details of my hiding hole. The booming steps finally arrived in front of my incredibly genius disguise and I felt Giant Jesus move around and grunt angrily. He was pissed that someone got away, and he would surely crush me to the size of a crouton. After a the longest time, I had to pee, but then he started towards the road and then I was alright to go my merry way.
The scene changed and it was nighttime at a farm. Inside the barn was a boy in overalls and what seemed to be an injured pony. "Don't worry little horsey", said the little boy,"You're gonna be all right". When suddenly GIANT JESUS EXPLODED THROUGH THE BARN!
"Get the hell out of there!", said the farmer to the little boy," Just leave the horse!". "Cmon horsey!Run! You can do it!" shouted the little boy to the pony. Unfortunately for the little boy, he tried to stay behind to save the pony and Giant Jesus ate them both.
